Milking Business
Proper Cornish Milk is our raw milk micro dairy located just outside of Marhamchurch.
Our farming is based on older methods and combine it with our modern knowledge of dairy cows to produce milk that is packed full of goodness and safe enough that it doesn’t need the modern-day treatments we see today, like pasteurizing and homogenizing.
With a strong commitment to quality and sustainability, we are dedicated to providing the freshest, cleanest and most nutritious milk to our customers, full of the good bacteria's and nutrients.
We deliver our milk in reusable glass bottles to try and keep waste to a minimum, however plastic bottles are available if you would like to freeze any.

Our Ethics
At Proper Cornish Milk, we are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all aspects of our business, putting welfare before profit. We believe in promoting the quality of life for animals, practicing sustainable farming methods, prioritizing soil health, implementing regenerative farming practices, and highlighting the benefits of unprocessed milk.
We let our calves stay with their mothers until they are ready to wean. This is a variable amount of time, based on the cow and the calves health but is always a minimum of 8 weeks.
Our cows live half the year outdoors, roaming the fields, only coming inside to be milked once a day. During the winter they are housed indoors, in a lovely spacious barn, sheltered from the rough weather.
The cows diet is mostly grass with them having a scoop or two of dairy nuts whilst they are being milked. The dairy nuts are a Planet Range feed that has no soya or palm in it so has a low carbon footprint.
